‘Notes’ on Instagram was announced by Meta in December 2022 and functions like a ‘post-it.’ Users can write short notes of up to 60 characters that will be pinned at the top of the messages tab.
The announcement was made by the director of the social network, Adam Mosseri, through his broadcast channel on the platform.
“This week, we’ve started testing the ability to post selfie videos on Notes. Soon, people will be able to update their default profile picture on Notes with a short, continuous video. You can still share an idea in text to go along with the video. If you start seeing videos on Notes, let us know what you think.”
More Instagram Updates
In recent days, Meta has been announcing numerous tests of new features for Instagram. Among them, there’s the potential for users to conduct polls directly in the comments section of the social network, as well as a feed dedicated solely to posts from verified accounts.
